Biscuit Hill
Also on the Oklahoma City trip, Slim and I noticed a sign for a place called Biscuit Hill. Since I failed to note where Biscuit Hill was located in my little-black-book-of-stuff-I-don't-want-to-forget, we can safely assume that it was somewhere between Oklahoma City and Gadsden. All that I recall was the following: Eric and I both spotted the sign at the same time. Eric made some comment about Biscuit Hill that I took to be disparaging (it was a setup, I'm sure). I feigned a bristled defense of Biscuit Hill, and responded with, "Don't be disrespectful of Biscuit Hill. A lot of biscuits died up there." To which Eric replied, "Yeah, I've heard word of the First Apple Butter Regiment being outflanked by the Orange Marmelade Irregulars back in 1863..." Does he save that stuff up for special occasions?
